We knew for our Autumn campaign, we wanted something stunning and epic, to delight our customers with the beauty of sheepskin and the feeling of dissolving into it, as if floating away on a perfect Sunday morning. And honestly, it was tempting to skip the planning, the logistics, the mud, the pre-dawn wakeup call in favour of an AI generated image, but ultimately, we decided that we wanted to show you the real thing.
And so it was, that on an early November morning, something rather unusual washed up on the shores of Banks Peninsula. Our prop specialist had driven a converted punting pontoon all the way from North Canterbury, and by the time it reached Sandy Point, it was dressed in sheepskin from bow to stern.
What followed was the kind of beautiful chaos that only happens when passionate people commit to something a little mad. A mammoth effort. Wet, muddy feet. Determination. And eventually, finally, a pontoon in the water.
Our model Tiaan waded in, had his feet towelled clean by devoted W&D team hands, and drifted away from shore on a cloud of lush sheepskin.
We think you'll feel it when you see it.
Real sheepskin, real nature and a real human experiencing it.
